Great book and I loved the writing. If I remember correctly, it's like your grandfather telling you a story of the old days.

Actually very good for my purposes--I used it while in Turkey for a week and while in Athens for the day. Lots of information for a long trip through a lot of countries in the area. Obviously not the best for an extended stay in any of them, but good for short trips. And of course, it's Lonely Planet, so there are many specifics and helpful tips.

My friend Nicole gave this to me a long time ago, and I'm reading it now in preparation for the first meeting of the new Newcomb Book Club in March.

It's not the original short story by Asimov, but Mindi bought this on ebay for us to read. The big question is who will get to it first! We both LOVE Bicentennial Man!

I liked this book, but I read it after I read Gladwell's 2nd book, Blink, and I preferred Blink over The Tipping Point. Both are very interesting...if you loved your Sociology class in college you will love these books.

3.5 stars New Daddy Dexter has sweet little Lily Anne to thank for some emerging human emotions. I don't know if I like that. I loved Dexter as a non-human. Dex is busy this book helping Debs with a cannibal coven. His brother Brian shows up again and we are left wondering what dastardly deed he may have in mind. And alas I still hate Rita of the nonfinishing sentence variety. The children played a lesser roll so the book wasn't totally ruined. Dexter on ecstasy was charming.
