Another fabulous book by Flinn. She’s is becoming one of my favorite authors for the edgy stories. This book deals with the touchy subject of domestic violence, but in a way so that you don’t feel like you are being preached to. I empathized with Michael and the pain and helplessness that he felt seeing his mother beaten and battered on a regular basis.
This is by far one of the best fantasy novels I've ever laid eyes to. A regular guy becomes death and has to perform the duty of collecting souls in balance. Reading as he learns to use his tools, meets his pale horse and makes his new home in purgatory shows an interesting view of what death, fate, heaven and hell could be. It's $8 bucks on paperback why not check it out.
America is not what it once was.
