I love the much more talked about movie version too. That movie, however, is very different from this novel. This short novel combines the mythological elegance of Manhattan with a very real darkness and sadness that makes this book such a winner. The movie leaves out the darkness and sadness.

When you can't sleep...you read. Cute story, kind of predictable. Sweet, funny and passionate moments, I'm starting to recognize J.L.'s writing patterns by now. The semi-wolf action was a bit creepy to read, but other than that a pretty pleasant book. The unresolved side story with Jake and Remi was probably my favorite part of this book.
