Sadly pedestrian use of Dorothy Sayers' fabulous characters. Every so often Harriet and Peter showed the spark you would expect, and there was the odd clever turn of phrase, but mostly it just made me want to go back and re-read Sayers' originals.
This is one of the only required readings I actually read in high school. My teacher did a great job leading our class into discussions about the conk shell and its symbolism, and the religious undertones throughout the entire book. A must read.
