A very good and readable baseball book that is full of details. Kennedy certainly covers every angle of the story possible, even giving the views of some famous (and not so famous) fans at the time before ending with a treatise on the probability of hitting streaks. If it's flawed then it's in the style, which frequently uses the omniscient voice that make it difficult to believe that the author could actually be inside the heads of the characters. But the thoughts are believable, so it's perhaps at best a minor quibble.
