my favorite childrens book of all time. a wonderful surreal dream about baking. milk in the batter!
This book isn't all that great. It's like reading a book by your really smart friend from high school who went on to excel in some scientific field. Their sense of humor isn't really that diverse or well-developed, but they think it is. However, if you're like me and are thinking of pursuing a career in the medical field, there are lots of interesting tidbits. Case studies, stupid anatomy humor, etc. You can follow along with your anatomy book and get some context for all some of those parts of the body you've been trying to memorize. There should be a book like this that covers internal medicine that students read in anatomy and physiology. Hmmm. There probably is, I just need to find it....
An interesting story told from two perspectives which turn out to be linked. I enjoyed Lexie's story very much as I found her to be an interesting and unusual character. I also enjoyed the start of Elina and Ted's story as it was an interesting look at the arrival of a new baby and it's effects on your life. It flowed nicely and held my attention throughout.
